2005

 

 

As a result of a growing demand for a competitive Senior Men’s Water Polo Club in the Ottawa-Hull area, founder and club president, Andras Szeri established the Ottawa WaterWalkers Water Polo Club in the fall of 2005.

The club draws its members from the two local universities: OttawaUniversity and CarletonUniversity, and the two local water polo clubs: Hull AquaPolo and the Titans.

 

 

2006

 

The WaterWalkers qualify (through the CWPL) to the National Championships. Beat CAMO 7:6 in a direct elimination game. Lose to Regina (Winner of the tournament) in a penalty shoot-out. Beat Dynamo from Calgary 13:4 in the Bronze medal game. Team Members: Zoltan Csepregi, Corry Burke, Blake Christie, Dusko Dakic, Sasa Palamarevic, Andras Szeri, Bill Meyer, Aaron Feltham,, Jamie Earle, Kevin Mitchell, Bojan Glisic, Marc Tanguay, Fedja Avlijas, Kirill Kagner, Coach: Bela Szeri

 

2007

 

The WaterWalkers enter Canada’s 100th National Championships, held in Calgary. Tie eventual silver medalists DDO, Lose to eventual winners Hamilton (who had Regina’s NT players Kevin Graham and Noah Miller on their roster) by 2 goals. Finally, the WaterWalkers lose the bronze medal game to Pacific Storm and finish 4th. Team: Zoltan Csepregi, Corry Burke, Blake Christie, Dusko Dakic, Sasa Palamarevic, Andras Szeri, Bill Meyer, Aaron Feltham,, Jamie Earle, Kevin Mitchell, Bojan Glisic, Marc Tanguay, Fedja Avlijas, Nick Fox, Stefan Pavicevic, (Gergely Fabian was ineligible to play) Coach: Bela Szeri.

 

Also, Aaron Feltham of the WaterWalkers gets a professional contract in Eger, Hungary and wins a silver medal in both the Len Cup and the Hungarian Professional league.

 

 

2008

 

The WaterWalkers compete in the 2008 Ontario-Quebec League and enter Senior Nationals in QC. Finish the event placing 7th. None of the 5 NT players were available due to NT commitments in Italy playing in the World League. Team: Zoltan Csepregi, Blake Christie, Nick Fox, Bill Meyer, Jamie Earle, Marc Tanguay, Fedja Avlijas, Milan Stevanovic, Boban Sikuljak, Nick Forester, Kirill Kagner. Coach: Andras Szeri.

 

Note: The 5 WaterWalkers of the 17 players on the Olympic preparation team are Aaron Feltham, Sasa Palamarevic, Kevin Mitchell, Dusko Dakic and Bojan Glisic

 


2009

 

The WaterWalkers enter the new MLWP and finish 2nd behind CAMO in the regular season. Zoltan Csepregi wins the scoring title of the league and the MVP award. Play-offs are held in Toronto on Easter Weekend. As a result the WW do not have enough players and lose all their games by default. The games are held regardless as exhibition games. The WW win all the games. Nationals are held in B.C. The WW do not enter. MLWP Team: Zoltan Csepregi, Blake Christie, Nick Fox, Bill Meyer, Jamie Earle, Marc Tanguay, Milan Stevanovic, Logan Seaman, Eben Seaman, Phil Sonea, Jeff 'DT' Brown, Peter Unger.
